CN Ore Dock in Ashland

dmir227's picture

An article in today's DNT says the Wisconsin DNR has given permission to CN and their contractor to use approved methods to keep a pair of peregrine falcons from nesting on the shuttered ore dock so demolition of the structure can begin later this year after permits are finalized. Apparently the falcons, although an endangered bird, are less endangered than the terns they eat.
